Holland Middle School students Chris Perez and Kinsey Gordon show off the VIP Passes they won at Putt Putt Fun Land last week. Forty-five students earned a morning of miniature golf and fun with friends by meeting their reading goals. As a wind-down activity, the manager led the students through a tough game of "Pilgrim Joe Says" with fast and tricky commands. Chris and Kinsey were the final two students at the end of the game.
Holland Hornets swarmed the ball as Christian Ramirez makes the tackle. Holland defeated Bartlett 59-14 in the first playoff game. The 7-9 Hornets defeated Salado 15-12. Both Holland Hornet youth teams advanced to the Toy Bowl Championship game.
The young Hornet football players and Hornet cheerleaders gathered on the playground Friday afternoon to pump up enthusiasm for their playoff appearance in the Toy Bowl on Saturday.
Mark Briggs, an employee in the Utility Department at Holland, is helping the City in the process of getting ready for Christmas. Briggs is installing the beautiful, bright Christmas decorations downtown, perched in the scoop of the backhoe.
