Services for Richard L. "Puddin" Mayse, 72, of Bartlett were held at noon on Monday, October 13, 2008 at Holy Temple Church of God In Christ in Bartlett with Supt. L. B. Williams officiating.
Burial followed in Davilla Cemetery.
Mr. Mayse died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at his home.
He was born March 13, 1936 to Willie Arthur and Ruth Bowser Mayse in Davilla. He served in the U. S. Navy stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. He was a factory worker in the Temple area, working for American Desk, Rockwool, WilsonArt and McLane. He married Georgia Lou Turner. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Turner.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Gregory Turner, Eloise Binder, Tammie Willis and Tavata Jackson; three brothers, Billy Mayse and Thomas Mayse, both of Temple, and Ronald Mayse of Lancaster, California; a sister, Arnetta White of Killeen; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Branford/Dawson was in charge of arrangements.
