Mary Adamek Wentrcek, 85, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend, was called home to the Lord on October 27, 2008.
She adored her family and her greatest joy was spending time with them.
Visitation was Wednesday, October 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor. Funeral services were Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Granger Brethren Church.
She was born on July 16, 1923 to John and Adela Sladek Adamek in Taylor, Texas. Mary married Edward (Ed) Wentrcek on October 1, 1940. They lived in the Davilla community for 10 years. In 1950, they moved to Friendship and lived there until 1971, when they moved to Granger. Mary was an active member of the Granger Brethren Church for over 60 years, participating in the choir and the Christian Sisters. She served as an auditor for the local RVOS insurance chapter for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years; two sisters, Helen Klepac and Josephine Brosch; two brothers, Johnny and Edwin Adamek.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Wentrcek and wife Linda; one daughter, Linda Wilhelm and husband Victor, all of Granger; two granddaughters, Tina Alexiou and husband Tasos and Aimee Wilhelm. all of Round Rock; one grandson, Michael Wentrcek of Granger; two great-granddaughters, Kaelyn Wentrcek of Lockhart and Jordan Alexiou of Round Rock; and one great grandson, Victor Alexiou of Round Rock; sister, Margaret Klepac of Aransas Pass; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Adamek of Grand Prairie and Kathryn Adamek of Granger; numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.
