Memorial services for Marilyn D. George, 60, of Little River-Academy were at 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Sam Callaway officiating.

She died Friday, November 28, 2008 at her residence.

Marilyn George was born March 14, 1948 to Julian (Carson) Callesen in Petoskey, Michigan. She married Joseph George in Las Vegas and ran her own in-home daycare business. Mrs. George was a member of The Arc Association of Bell County, where she had previously served as vice president.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ronald Lee Moore Jr. of Little River-Academy; three brothers, Richard Callesen, Dennis Callesen and William Callesen; and four sisters, Sandra Smith, Lori Moline, Connie Kraggs and Joyce Ormen.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple was in charge of arrangements.
