September 17th - Happy birthday U. S. Constitution

You have been torn, tattered, stomped on and ignored by our elected representatives. Your words, though they are clear and concise, have been given differ meanings by the judicial system. Those who have taken a sworn oath to uphold your guiding rules have by their own design created their own new rules changing the course of governance. Just as the world has turned its back on the Ten Commandments so too our elected officials and many of your citizens have turned their backs on you. We have public officials who describe your guiding principle as a “democracy” when in fact you have named yourself in the treasured pages of your body as a “Republican Form of Government.”

But do not fret. There are millions of us who cherish your rules and take them for what you meant them to be. We will continue to raise our voices in your defense and shout out to those who have mangled your principles even though their ears are closed to discourse. so as we celebrate your 221st birthday of your creation, we wish you a long life.
