Avanell Frohnapfel, 83, of Austin passed away October 27, 2008.
Viewing and visitation were held at Cook-Walden Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2008.
Graveside services were held at Taylor City Cemetery at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008.
Avanell was born October 7, 1925 to Felex and Leona (York) Isabel in Bell County, Texas. She grew up in the Bartlett area and married A. C. Frohnapel in Austin on February 21, 1943. Avanell was an active member of Ridgetop Baptist Church of Austin. Her two “loves of her life” were her church and her family. She will be greatly missed by both.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; two brothers, Granvel and Morris Isabel; and one sister, Eva Dee White.
Survivors include her husband, A. C. Grohnapfel; a brother, Charles Isabel of Austin; two sisters, Doris Bender of Stow, Ohio and Wanda Cantrell of Madison, Mississippi; two sons, Tommy Frohnapfel of Waxahachie and Larry Frohnapfel of Austin; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numberous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
